FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHY
ARTIST STATEMENT
Some photographers find their subject. Mine found me somewhere on a two-lane highway in the Nevada desert, light failing, nobody around for fifty miles. That moment — the stillness, the scale, the feeling that something important was disappearing — became the obsession that built these collections. I've spent twenty years chasing that feeling across the American West and down into Baja: riding with cowboys at dawn, standing at canyon edges in fading light, watching the Pacific do what it's done for a million years. Photography for me has never been about documentation. It's about the pull — the need to go further, stay longer, and bring something back that makes someone else feel what I felt when I was there. These prints are that. Made for walls. Made to last.
The American West isn’t disappearing.
It’s just becoming harder to find.
